If you are truly great with a good discussion and think those reasonable
(And I'm not seeing you aren't.), then I wouldn't after just a few exchanges charge someone with just looking to preach. It just comes off as dismissive and hand waving away someone. A good discussion is both people trying to understand the other person's side and perspective while they articulate their own side.

And I definitely know preaching. I have heard so much of it from those who mean well and want me back in. I get sent stuff all the time. I also sit through church every week, conference, etc. I definitely know preaching. It feels like the pot calling the kettle black when a active member tells a non-believing member they are preaching. But maybe both things can be true. Both sides are just kind of talking past each other.

By way of extending an olive branch, I would agree that when people like David Archuleta come out in such an extreme way like he did in a video he made, it's just a bad look and doesn't seem super classy. You can tell he felt hurt. But since then, at least within his new group of people, he seems like the mild, meek, kind person that he has always come off as and been. Not that I keep up on his coming and goings very much. I really don't. I just noticed when he made the news for those 15 minutes.
