into people from Church, including our stake president one time. Now I don't know anyone going to restaurants on Sundays. I thought maybe it was a practice that was limited in time and had died out, but apparently it is still common in some pockets of the church.

(Of course, all I can say for sure is that my family stopped going to restaurants on Sundays a few years later. I can't say for sure what the others did since we weren't in restaurants to happen upon them, haha.)
