Ah, so the D gives the O 71.9 (#93). For ref: 69.0 (#25), 67.0 (#10).
Our O sets up the defense well at 73 (#21).
Conclusions: the defense is bending for 5 yards a drive. But hey, we only allow 1.26 points per drive (#7) and we're #14 in DFEI (which adjusts for the weak schedule to an average opponent). It seems like a great trade: be a top 15 don't break defense by bending 5 or 6 yards each drive. Isn't this exactly the kind of thing you'd expect to see from an effective bend-don't-break defense?
but really, I'm not even sure it's fair to put starting field position on the offense and defense here. We're bottom 10 in kick return efficiency, though we're a little better in punt return efficiency. And we have a top 5 punter. All of this seems dwarfed by points per drive to me though. Points over all.

BYU averaged less than 2 points per drive for their other 9 drives. That ain't getting it done against anyone
