Home size is not the reason for the cost increase in homes in the last decade

The home I just moved out of was worth about 197k in 2013, and it is now worth 471k. The home I just moved in to was worth 208k in 2013, and its worth 547k now. About a 240%-260% increase in price in the market for a home that is just 10 years older than it was (same size as it was 10 years ago).

Whereas salaries in the last decade have only risen by about 140%. And interest rates right now are no better than 2013.

That's not counting weekends. 52 wks of 5 days/wk = 260 - 185 = 75 fewer days / 5 = 15 weeks < 4mos.
