Yes it does. I'm a teacher making a little over 100k. In Utah.
10 years in. I have the following:
-New House (Built in 2021)
-New Car (2021 Van and my other commuter car)
-Great food budget
-Save ~25% of my income toward retirement
-Have plenty of leftover cash for fun stuff / vacations.
And I get amazing health benefits, I get 4 months off a year, my breaks coincide with all of my kids' breaks, and I get to work an awesome job with awesome kids. It's all about being smart financially and not overextending yourself.

Well 100k isn’t what it used to be that is true but things should always be compared with regard to cost of living
