Well honestly, having lived through the crazy inflation we've seen the last 2-3 years while having a wife, three young kids, a mortgage and a salary close to $100K, I can honestly confirm that money doesn't go as far as it use to...so in a way, I get what they're saying. It feels like $100k is what $70K use to be for us, prior to inflation.

That's not counting weekends. 52 wks of 5 days/wk = 260 - 185 = 75 fewer days / 5 = 15 weeks < 4mos.
