C'mon. These absolute statements are a bit silly.
There are a lot of people that live on 40 hours a week, and they do just fine. Everyone's situation is different.
But you are kidding yourself if you think government workers work 40 hours a week. Maybe 30 (actually working) for most of them. Sheesh - some of these guys on CB are obviously spending 10-20 hours a week during work time, so they may not be hitting 40 a week either.

I work as much as the job tends to require, and not a second more. So about 40-45 hours a week, tops.
