Which is a bad counter, because humans get significantly worse at driving in
those conditions, as well.
"This system suffers from the same limitations as the one it's supposed to replace" isn't a great endorsement.
We accept human limitations because that has been the only technology we've ever had for the purpose. Tech replacing it should be expected to be significantly better
