So from first principles I don't think it's necessarily a given you required anything beyond vision
Second disclaimer: I actually don't drive my car. I've been using my full self-driving version 13 without a single intervention in almost 3 weeks. I think it's ready for unsupervised, at least in southern AZ, and not in rain
