I'm inclined to think the teams that all got byes losing might be somewhat of an anomaly. But the length of layoff is the biggerv problem for college kids.

I also don't think the byes should be eliminated because it will spell the end of the CCG. Because there will be no incentive to play that game if there is no bye. So here's what I think...

1. Make all conferences play a nine game conference schedule. It's pretty clear that the conferences that played the eight game schedule for overrated this season. An eight game schedule gives them an unfair advantage. They get an extra win and especially when it comes to the SEC, they are padding their schedule with the FCS team in November. It's just ridiculous. If they don't play a nine game schedule they are penalized by the committee.

2. Stop the crap with the committee rankings reach week. There is no reason to do that with the AP poll, especially given the fact that the committee pretty much follows the AP poll anyway. The committee should be much more like the NCAA basketball committee. Were they meet and make their choices on the Sunday after the CCGs.

3. Have the first round games in the home stadiums the next week. Don't delay it two weeks. I think the biggest problem was the long layoff for the top four seeds.

4. Have the quarterfinal games the very next week. I also think that the quarter final games should be in home stadiums. It woud put more value on winning the conference championship game. No, I don't care about having a bowl name attached to the quarter-final games. The whole bowl system is corrupt anyway.

5. Semi-final games are played the next week.

6. Championship game played two weeks later.

One final thing. Move the transportal window until the end of The playoff and bull season.
