eventual football fate. Their fan base is fickle. The kinds of recruits that have keyed Utah's football success in the last 20 years include a bunch of types who either:

(a) have no core loyalty to the place, the program, or the state and will happily gravitate to ASU and Colorado or
(b) are committed LDS kids who will now stop going to Utah because BYU is on equal footing and is a better place for them.

But sure, we'll see. I've been wrong once or twice, but I think Utah is heading for long term mediocrity.
