Arizona State, TCU, Baylor, and even Houston have potential, IMO
ASU - flagship football program in state (Arizona is a basketball school first). Good weather, not too strict academics but a legitimate university, coach that will be there a long time. No clue about funding/NIL, but we’ll see.
BYU - Honor code will always be an issue in football when you have to stay 3 years. Also hard where most elite football talent is in the south, and the south doesn’t like Mormons very much.
Iowa State - Too small.
Colorado - State doesn’t care enough about football, will probably die whenever Deion leaves.
Baylor - Rich school, lots of money, great football state in a real city close to Dallas.
TCU - Same, but actually in Dallas/FW.
Texas Tech - in the middle of nowhere.
Kansas State - Second school in a small state.
West Virginia - It’s West Virginia.
Kansas - traditionally crappy football, basketball first.
Cincinnati - It’s in Cincinnati, surrounded by huge blue bloods, playing in a (perceived) smaller league. Also basketball first.
Houston - Potential sleeping giant who sucks right now.
Utah - second school in the state, legendary coach is about to retire, limited NIL, ugly colors, ugly girls, etc.
Arizona - Basketball first.
UCF - I would rate higher if it wasn’t clearly the fourth best football school in the state. But some potential with huge student body in a nice part of the state.
Oklahoma State - middle of nowhere, clear little brother in the state.
