I’d be OK long term if BYU just filled in the corners for aesthetic reasons.
Do it with high end suites, cheap seats or even a bunch of recliners in the corners sections for fatties like me sponsored by RC Willy furniture outlet.
Then work to improve concessions and fan experience. Concessions are what’s lacking most at LES.
Add a bunch more stadium seats in place of benches. Even rebuild the East and West sections with similar lightweight aluminum stands that can support more people and give better viewpoint experience.
BYU is probably too cheap to ever spend $2-3 billion on a new state of the art stadium. So just keep investing in LES. Do you think Notre Dame will ever move away from Notre Dame Stadium? Nope, never. And BYU shouldn’t feel the need move away from LES either. Invest in what they have. It’s an amazing game day experience now anyway.
