Years ago, the CIO came into a mtg to "build" morale

talked extensively about how we'd be able to rate our managers, etc.
Then he holds up a newspaper article talking about how high tech job market was tight and nobody was hiring, and said, "I don't want anyone coming to me and asking for a job."

Totally lost all the programmers at that point.
