Oh, no. It’s the exact opposite. The great QBs overcome “bad situations”
And then we forget that they are bad situations in the first place.
The Bengals with Joe Burrow.
The Bills with Josh Allen.
The Texans with CJ Stroud.
All terrible franchises, often without a franchise QB for years, who drafted the right guy into a dumpster fire and immediately turned it around.
Bad QBs are bad and then people try to blame everybody else. But it was mostly that the QB sucked themselves. Nothing would change that.

Unless you draft a huge project, you absolutely play your rookie. Almost every elite QB in the NFL started day one
