Any diagnosis that includes the word "cancer" is scary.

I don't know how helpful this is for you to hear right now, but the people that I've seen go through the surgery/chemo route, it definitely sucked after each treatment, but they beat the cancers, they got to ring the "cancer-free" bell, and they've been able to return to regular life. The treatments are better now than they were even a few years ago. I guess all I want to say is that whatever the scan results are, there's still good reason to have hope that things will turn out okay in the end.
