It was great because it was the anti-Hollywood Godzilla movie
just like Top Gun Maverick was the anti-Hollywood hero movie.
It's a feel good adventure movie with none of the stupid crap that Hollywood movies do.
I can't stand what the Marvel movies have become where every single hero flick is the same without any depth. Or, in this case, the Godzilla movies that just try to wow with special effects without any story at all worth telling.
