Yeah. I used to think charity care meant helping people get needed healthcare they couldn’t pay for.
Then I found out charity care is partially writing off the difference between the inflated bills we all send out and what insurances pay on those bills.

Our small private clinic does that (as does most every medical provider) plus FREQUENTLY writes off bills for needy patients without any burdensome paperwork on their part.

Plus we pay for our building and upgrades as a taxed business entity.
