RE: An interesting analysis. Has your decreased opinion of musk corresponded
His perceived shift to the right politically?
— I am far-right myself with the 2 exceptions being Trump and immigration. This is not an issue for me.

Or are you implying that it's hypocrisy to build an in-house supercomputer for FSD, but rely on Nvidia chips for XAI?
— I personally took this to mean that Nvidia's chips were better or Tesla would supply the chips to xAI. This is an assumption, but I would say it's a good assumption. (If you don't agree with this assumption, part 3 won't make sense.)

— Also, Tesla is still getting the NVidia chips, just later as xAI will get them first.

Also I'm not sure I understand the criticism about the chips? Didn't Elon already previously state that Tesla is not computing constrained anymore for FSD? Why would he need more Nvidia chips if they are not computing constrained?
— Elon says a lot of things I don't trust. But overall if his Project Dojo was so good and Tesla was not computer constrained, I would expect Tesla to provide the AI chips to xAI. My understanding is an AI model needs basically 3 things. A Good Model of the problem domain, Enough Data to learn and grow, and enough Compute power to test and grow the AI program.

Tesla should have enough Data to atleast do what Waymo is doing.
They possibly have an unsolvable problem with their current model (and solution set) of the problem domain.
I believe they are computationally constrained slowing down the growth of their AI program to continously miss deadlines.

Unless Tesla is lacking data, they need those Nvidia chips to further solve or pivot their current setup.

At the end of the day, these are my personal thoughts and I could be completely wrong. I don't know how to solve any of this stuff. . . But unfortunately it is easier to point out mistakes than to point out solutions in situations like these. I hope I am wrong as Elon Musk is able to deliver on everything he has claimed. . . But lets just say I am no longer a believer or investor in Elon.
