Agreed. When UVU announced their program that turned heads. Several players have gone from BYU to UVU and more now with the change to club. Impressively but not really surprising is several players coming from there to BYU over the years because BYU has that draw.

UVU has been D1 ten years now and Utah Tech is D1 as well which is only making BYU look further behind, despite BYU still being competitive against them. They drew Utah Tech in the spring in a game they really should’ve won and dominated.

There are 205 D1 men's soccer programs including 50 from FBS schools. I wouldn't describe that has being "few".

Title IX is not a barrier. If it is proven that there is a demand for a sport, men or women, it can be done.
