I generally gain weight when I exercise. If I want to cut weight I lower my calories and increase my sleep (including
naps.... naps are remarkably underrated as a weight loss tool).

I never exercise to lose weight. Doesn't work for me.

worth noting that I'm at my ideal weight right now so my strategy seems to be working... I'd love to trade 5lbs of fat for 5lbs of muscle.. but I'm in a good spot weight wise.
