My pitch would include prepping them for NFL which I am positive KS does. But

then add that if anyone says he will be drafted, etc I would say it sounds good but we know you cannot guarantee it. Only about 50% of HS 5 star recruits end up being drafted. And that is just getting in the doorway. At BYU we focus on a culture of leadership, teamwork, and just plain hard but productive work. That is how you stick in the NFL. Tysom is a great example of how putting in the work l3e 5o getting his opportunities and then being able to make the most of them. People in Green Bay still complain how that was one of the biggest losses to their team.

I would then end with the thought, some teams will promise you the world but how much do they even believe it? They are aware of how many kids get drafted from their school each season. Ohio St (141) and Alabama (127) are the two schools with the most draft picks in the between 2000 and 2019. Ohio State only averages 7 players getting drafted each year and Alabama just over 6 per year. Each school gives out 25 scholarships a year, less than 30% actually get drafted. Texas only averages 3 players a year.

Anyway, I like KS pitch over those other pitches if he includes some sort of "reality check" in the pitch.  In this example I would juxtapose what they say (do you think they tell this to most if not all the kids they recruit?, sign 25 every year) to what really happens (only 3 each year actually get  drafted).  I think that would help counter the idea that going there means they will get drafted.
