Which is why the transfer portal will be a long term blessing
for BYU. Yes, "it giveth & taketh" but long term it'll help land recruits who can contribute immediately & aren't overwhelmed with the glitse & glammer that other schools offer having already gone through "that process".
The recruits we land in the transfer portal are more concerned with playing opportunities.
