With the recent success of draft picks they should be.
What they do different is they take it beyond that and tell the bigger story. This is a story no other school can sell the same way. This is what the coaches are doing so well.
Some kids want it and some don't. The reality is parents almost ALWAYS want it. And that is the first big step in winning a kid over. The parents have a huge influence in where the kids go and getting the parents to buy it helps.
I know a kid that was a BBall recruit out of Wisconsin. All the local schools took him to local clubs, ect. He was also recruited by Princeton. They flew him into NYC and took him to a boardroom with alumni members. Told him he can have all the other stuff the other schools give him but none of those schools can make the path to a boardroom as easy.
BYU is in a similar boat and they know it and do a great job with it.
