Down 5 lbs this week. I think that means he's 304 lbs now. 3 of that fat. Nutritionist says about 1 week or so until he's sub 300. He's been doing extra workouts and is super motivated to get below 300. Hopefully he's not screwing his nutrition up with the extra workouts. Yesterday he walked 4.5 miles instead of his usual 3.1 and had some sore leg muscles. Not too worried about that, as long as the soreness goes away soon.
He's putting his faith 100% into the nutritionist. He keeps saying that he's following her plan to a T and that if she says he'll be under 300 lbs by next Tuesday, he better be. I keep telling him it's not an exact science and there's some variability there (like with water weight) and not to be too upset if he weighs in at 300.1 lbs or something super close. Crossing my fingers he gets below 300 very soon here.
Tomorrow we might go down to the "course" in Payson/Benjamin and do one length (7.3 miles) and if he's feeling good, maybe we'll do a full loop (14.6 miles).
Workouts have been going great, especially with his new bike. He said his butt is hurting less and he's actually chatting through the workouts instead of zoning out with his air pods trying to ignore the pain. Workouts are now 30+ minutes and the intensity is increasing (slightly).
He's definitely starting to believe in himself and looking past the 100 miler.
The guy he saved is now out of the hospital. I think he's going into therapy for speech, but I really have no idea other than that.
