This is one of the hardest parts of living in a fallen world, and makes me personally shiver, because I have had so many of those same thoughts. It is difficult to not believe that the messages you get in your head are not the truth- Life can be brutally difficult, and there are times where I have said, with my fair for the dramatic, that Hobbes was mostly right- life is nasty and brutish, and we can only hope that it is also short.

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to try to tackle those difficult feelings alone; my wife is my most important support and best friend, and I rely on her. In the absence of such a relationship, this guy needs a friend.

Where does he live? I assume Vegas, but I don't know. Do we know any of his hobbies? What does he do for fun? Being a D&D nerd, I think he should get into a gaming group...
