We avoid rec games and practice on Sunday...
We have played select/travel ball however. Just as was mentioned above, I don't think it's fair to the team to commit to a team that is organized for competitive play and then just say you're not going to play specific games. If we commit to a competitive team we commit to all travel, practice, ect. Luckily we've only had a couple games pop up on Sunday.
Most people will make Sunday practice as an extra voluntary practice so we can skip those.
Good luck, it's difficult if you live outside Utah and want your kids to play in competitive activities.

The Wednesday night thing is true here. I don't know about Sunday play, but Wednesday is set aside for youth actives
