I've never seen any weekday thing, but I'd say Sundays are much more low-key in
The south. Sundays arent completely off limits for events but definitely more of a day reserved for church etc. That said, it may be a bit more that way in the deep Deep South (AL,MS).

The Wednesday night thing is true here. I don't know about Sunday play, but Wednesday is set aside for youth actives
