When we lived in Logan the schools scheduled all their awards banquets & similar
activities on Monday nights because that was the only night that didn't conflict with YW/YM, stake & ward leadership & similar meetings

The Wednesday night thing is true here. I don't know about Sunday play, but Wednesday is set aside for youth actives
