Coach Rice was a recruiting all star!!! He had amazing talent....guy couldn't coach for crap! May be decent coordinator type but can't be the head guy. for the past 4 years they'd melt down and lose games over and over and over for no apparent reason outside of couldn't coach em up. Coaching does matter...to a smaller extent so does work ethic, chemistry etc etc.

Bronco got A TON out of the talent we had...if that staff had a top 10 talent class we'd be talking titles. Lots had to do with character of the guys too, b/c they were willing to put in the time to study film, listen, lead etc. I think its much more complicated and multi faceted than is being discussed...talent and coaching are the #1a & 1b though in my opinion.
