out execute the other teams.
I do think Bronco got a little too focused on getting the "BYU fit" player, which is important, but I can also see in the last several recruiting classes that Bronco had expanded his recruiting focus, upping the talent level on the team.
There is no magic pill. I've seen CB believe the magic pill was going to be having our o-line guys get in shape and quit eating cougar tails. I've seen CB believe the magic pill was going to be a new nutritionist. I've seen CB believe the magic pill was going to be Jake Heaps and his 2010 buddies. I've seen CB believe the magic pill was going to be Frank Wintrich. Now the magic pill is Sitake and his "expert" recruiting.
If Sitake starts bringing in top 25 class after top 25 class after top 25 recruiting class, I'll proudly eat my crow. Until then, we'll have to have coaches that know how to win with lesser recruits as compared to your average top 25 program. Meaning, we'll have to have coaches that out scheme and teach their players to out execute.
Recruiting the lifeblood, no doubt, but we're still BYU. There is no magic pill.
