However my team has people in Kentucky, Georgia, California, Washington, Mexico, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Colorado and of course Texas. We have 1 co-worker who decided to live out of an RV and is literally in a different state every other week it seems. About once every 2 months we are all asked to come into the office, they will fly everyone in... I have no problem working from the office, I've been to the office once this week and a couple of times last week and will be in a couple more times next week.
However there are others here in the Dallas area that throw a gigantic fit about coming into the office, even for 3 days every other month. I have 1 co-worker who could walk to the office in 30 minutes and she is one of the most difficult to get into the office. When I have been able to get her into the office, she will stay for 2 hours and then make up some stupid excuse why she has to go home. And then last year she was asking how she could get promoted to a lead position or a senior position, and I told her what would it take to get that promotion and her response was, "Oh I don't want to do all of that".
The company I work for is extremely flexible with remote vs in office, but the remote work is easily being abused.
