Down 80 lbs as of today (275 lbs). I've stopped texting him the night before every workout to make sure he's coming/asking what time. He's shown over the summer while I was on vacation that he doesn't need the reminder or constant babysitting to get the job done. It's simply understood that we'll be there.
He's started doing 75 hard (extra workouts from what the cycling coach plans). Adding in some extra weight lifting and peloton and longer rides and walks to get his 90 minutes a day.
He does a 5k walk probably 4 days a week, but did an official 5k in Heber, which was a fundraiser for autism awareness (his son has autism). He saw a bunch of hot moms there and might go and volunteer at the mom triathlon this weekend to see some more. He ran a bit during his 5k and went sub-50, which is a PR for him. I told him not to run, but the crowds energized him and he ran the last bit. Glad he didn't hurt himself.
A ton of people have asked whether they can ride with him for his 100 miler. Right now he's leaning towards just a small group of people who have been working out with us at the bike shop early three days a week. Might be around 5-7 people. He's not big on making a spectacle of himself. I'll let everybody know if that changes. He wants to bring his massage therapist friends and hire an IV place. He got an IV last week since he puked all night one night and needed the fluids and said it was incredible. He might hire them to come out and give everybody there a bag and a massage if/when needed.
Still haven't done the Spanish Fork course. Hopefully soon. I'm guessing we'll get this done in late September to early October before the weather turns.
Today at the nutritionist he asked about his game day nutrition plan. She recommended some liquid nutrition for him to start getting used to (CR33) and that she might have him eat honey stingers for solids.
He's really starting to look a lot thinner.
