a given task list to get done? I don't know of any at my company. You are paid to give your full effort on a problem space that does have some tasks, but you build your own work. So you get done as much work as you can with your time and talents. There isn't some magical, "you have 40 things and once you are done, that's it". But WFH employees often describe themselves as you seem to do as an assembly line worker. If you want to do that, get an hourly job doing that.
