Probably not 10,000s of hours (but maybe >10k). <17.5k hours since released
The first X1C was shipped in June 2022 (I think from among the Kickstarter recipients).
The P1P went on sale in November 2022.
The A1 went on sale in December 2023.
2 years * 365 days * 24 hours *100% uptime = 17,520 hours
That is good to hear that they are holding up. I like that they are CoreXY printers and an mulling getting one for my next printer, but kindof don't want to mix ecosystems since it is for a side business.

I see some 3d printers for sale on Prime Day and my son will want one for Christmas. Anyone have any recommendations?

Yep, that is my go to recommendation. I wish I had one. I still have an original Ender 3 with probably $300 of upgrades.

If I wasn't into 3d printing as much as I am I would get Bambulab as well. I have 2 Prusas which are more expensive
