Regarding revenue generation

BYU soccer is somewhat unique. The club team already operates without school funding thanks to the Summer camps. Byu pretty much decides how much they want to make, and sells out every year. Half goes to the university, and the other half to the teams. Would at least lesson any negative economics.

Equal scholarships is a myth. You can add men's soccer and not have to worry about adding a women's sport.

There are 205 D1 men's soccer programs including 50 from FBS schools. I wouldn't describe that has being "few".

Title IX is not a barrier. If it is proven that there is a demand for a sport, men or women, it can be done.
