There are things the suns can do. They plan to just be way over the luxury tax and with the new rules coming in, it’s easier to get over now and stay over than it would be to try to get over in the future.
Yes they will be limited in team building going forward, but that was already the case when they made the move for KD. The Beal trade doesn’t really change much.
There’s a chance the suns give their own free agents bigger deals this summer, specifically to use as trade chips. They’ll be short in length, with stretchable non guaranteed option years, but for higher amounts.
