Totally agree. CP isn’t going to bring in more than one role player.
And it’s not going to be a valuable one on a good contract either.
Just getting off Shammutt and freeing that roster spot with a better, cheaper player also makes them better. Just getting rid of him means they can get someone else that can actually play
In return they got a really good player—maybe even an all star level player-and they have Ayton to build depth if they can’t get it in free agency
