I'm divided on the trade
The NBA is about winning titles, and going all-in to do it. So I get trading for an all-star, despite whatever cost you pay down the road. Win a title, and it is good for 20 years.
However, I am not sure Beal puts them over the top. Booker is a better player, and they duplicate each other to a large extent. I think they would have done better trading for a complementary piece.
