Most don’t know what I know, nor do they need to. (I’ve been friends with Chad for most of my life and I know more about his situation than he knows I know.)

One of the missing ingredients to Chad’s recovery is being willing to own his part in his life. There are very specific reasons for his alienation with his wife (now ex), children, family and friends. He’s owned some of that but he needs to own all of it. When he does that (and do it honestly, not just to wallow and find more evidence of his own inadequacy), then he will seize control back. At that point he can finally have the control necessary to move forward and not just be a victim of a vindictive ex.
