he was the ultimate hero. But to be honest i think the originals kind of covered that ground fairly well and showed him becoming just that. I feel like the director obviously chose to do something surprising/different and go for a more vulnerable take on luke. I was surprised and I didn't mind it. Glad the director took some risks. I think there is such a thing as too safe.
