My gloves aren't sting proof. I have been stung on the hands twice.
Same hand, same exact spot, two weeks apart.

Typically I get stung when I am clumsy and crush a bee on accident. Not hard to do when there are probably over 20,000 bees in my two larger colonies right now (growing to 80,000 to 100,000 in the next couple of months). I have pulled frames of bees out every week. I posted videos so my family can watch. My youtube channel is Brook Hill Honey Mr. G's Honeybees. Some of the videos are longer than the ones I posted today, but I find it so fascinating I have watched my own videos several times each. It is great to go back and review what happened. As you can see, I have handled a lot of bees over the last four weeks...

The stings don't really hurt on the hands, but since I am really clumsy, I won't go barehanded yet, but plan to do so shortly.

My wife has been there right next to me and she hasn't been stung yet. Two weeks ago I caught the other swarm and I just used my hand to scoop the bees into their new box. I didn't get stung. I posted a video about it 10 days ago or so, and I didn't get stung when I captured the swarm - I probably could have done it without protection, but not that brave yet. Too new to me and I am still a little too skeered.
