They bought the team for $1.4 B. The team today is worth $2.2 B and is considered the 13th most valuable franchise in MLB. 13th!! They like to act more like they are the Oakland A's. The ownership has operated in the black for the past 5/6/7 years. Owners are making money each year from proceeds while also making HUGE sums on the value of the team. Yet they won't invest more in the team on the field. It is a crime and the fan's only recourse is to stop participating in their get rich quick scheme. If they aren't going to invest on the field to win...then I refuse to invest my money/time/energy into their scheme.
