I know a cure for that issue, but you may need to move to Utah to do it.

My wife was a Utah fan and a BYU hater when we got married.
In her office here in the Salt Lake area, most of the people on her floor who were locals were Utah fans. As a longtime BYU football season ticket holder, I took her with me and my sons to games.
When guys at work learned she went to BYU games with me, they mistook her for a BYU fan and the verbal abuse started.

That cured her before that first season was over.
Now, she's a BYU fan and more of a Utah hater than I've ever been.
