Just curious, when you say “an hour of cardio plus weights,” do you mean you do an hour of cardio, then lift after?
Or is it an hour total including both cardio and weights?
The only hesitation I would have is overuse. Say you lift legs Monday, then run for cardio, then bike for cardio on Tuesday, then jump rope for cardio on Wednesday, then lift legs again on Thursday. You don’t have a lot of rest for your legs there, which could lead to injury and doesn’t give your body enough time to actually build the muscle.
I would just make sure you’re structuring it so different muscle groups have adequate recovery time.
