It's interesting too that in times of such luxury, we can ever be critical of
those who lived on the frontier. We simply have no clue the pressure, the survival need, and the mental anguish that those people would have gone through. Yet with our movies we portray them as horrible people. We have mental health challenges by staring at phones all day. They lost loved ones and had to survive. We don't even think about the mental toll that would have taken. Our soft generation is quick to judge or mischaracterize real people who had to do hard things.
