Maybe you can make that argument as a freshman but Chaz had been around and I have to imagine understood how things worked. He could've taken a piece of paper with two options.
1. Stay at BYU
2. Go to another program.
Each one of us could and should do this when evaluating new opportunities. I don't blame him for not doing this himself because I've honestly not been the best myself and I've probably got at least a decade of years on him.
He said he stayed because Kalani filled his head and this or that. Whatever.. quit making excuses of why you didn't succeed.
He was given plenty of shots to prove himself on the field that a lot of playing never get and it seems more like he's not willing to own up more to the fact that he had injuries and instead wants to blame others for his lack of success. He mentioned that at times he played recklessly and maybe they contributed to his injuries.
He didn't like his mission so he left early to focus on football. Well.. there's plenty of BYU players that don't leave early and stay and still become great football players. I don't really care on way or another with regards to him finishing his mission.
I think his strongest argument was his coaching argument because we all know that until the past couple seasons we've had some issues at coaching but it seems like that's improved greatly but again he could've sat out and transferred his last year of eligibility but instead stayed at BYU.
