BB = tradition over current success. When I think of 'blue bloods' I think of: Michigan, USC, Alabama, tOSU, Notre Dame, Texas, OU, Georgia, Nebraska and Florida State (although FSU may be in the next tier because of the recent success).

Teams that are the next stage include: Miami, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Penn State and Oregon. Had BYU kept up their winning ways to finish up the 80s and deep into the 90s, they'd be in this group.
