And yet 1978 was the first time they finished in the top 10. Before 2013 they had 5
top 10 finishes. So before Clemson finished in the top 10, Notre Dame had 6 National Titles, Alabama 7 (if you count 1978). Michigan had 8 (a lot of early 1900's titles for them). Texas had only 3 national titles, but 17 top 10 finishes. Oklahoma had 5 National Titles.
Win percentage is nice though.

This is the problem. I saw a recent poll on CB and almost no one thought that Clemson was a blue blood.
