He's a good coach who made the most of a recruit no one else wanted. But a terrible recruiter that can't compete for recruits that have other P4 offers.

I'd imagine if he was able to get access to a QB that was sought after by other Power schools he'd do pretty well with that QB. Like he did with Zack Wilson and Jaren Hall.
